Cool Run Wetland Restoration Project - collaboration between DNREC and UD in the headwaters of the White Clay Creek


The stream running through farm fields will be evaluated for channel modification and buffer enhancement.	DNREC scientists evaluate a rill for enhancement to reduce pollution transport.

Unproductive pasture and crop field acreage will be converted to wetlands that will filter pollutants and provide wildlife habitat.	This button bush is an example of the native species that will be planted in the new wetland and stream corridor areas.
